Announcement of Muhammad Sahab

أَنَّ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الأَشْعَرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ أَرْبَعٌ فِي أُمَّتِي مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لاَ يَتْرُكُونَهُنَّ الْفَخْرُ فِي الأَحْسَابِ وَالطَّعْنُ فِي الأَنْسَابِ وَالاِسْتِسْقَاءُ بِالنُّجُومِ وَالنِّيَاحَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ ‏"‏ النَّائِحَةُ إِذَا لَمْ تَتُبْ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهَا تُقَامُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَعَلَيْهَا سِرْبَالٌ مِنْ قَطِرَانٍ وَدِرْعٌ مِنْ جَرَبٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari (RA) narrated: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: "There are four matters of the Jaahiliyyah (Ignorance) among my Ummah (Nation) that they will not abandon:

(1.) Bearing pride for one's ancestors, 

(2.) reviling (abusing) peoples' genealogies, 

(3.) seeking rain by the stars, 

(4.) and walling." 

And he (further) said: "If the wailing woman does not repent before she dies, she will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection wearing a garment of pitch and a chemise of mange."

अबू मालिक अल-अशअरी (रज़ि.) से रिवायत है: रसूलउल्लाह (ﷺ) ने फ़रमाया: "जाहिलियत में से चार चीज़ें ऐसी हैं जिनको मेरी उम्मत नहीं छोड़ेगी:

(1.) अपने हसब पर फ़क़्र करना,

(2.) दूसरों के नसब को ताना देना,

(3.) सितारों से बारिश माँगना,

(4.) मातम करना!"

और आपने (फिरसे) फ़रमाया: "अगर मातम करने वाली औरत अपनी मौत से पहले तौबा नहीं करती तो क़ियामत के दिन उसको तारकोल का लिबास और खाज का पहनावा पहनाया जाएगा!"
